Pattaya is located just 150 km southeast of Bangkok along the eastern coast of the Gulf of Siam. It shares the coast with traditional fishing villages and other seaside towns such as Bang Saen and Rayong.

It takes only 1.5 hours to drive by car from Bangkok via the modern Motorway and just add a half hour to if you are driving directly from Don Muang International Airport.

Location

Siam Bayshore Resort is situated at the southern tip of Pattaya Bay on Beach Road next to the quiet end of the popular "Walking Street" on one side and the new "Bali Hai Pier" and park on the other side.

The resort occupies the entire piece of land between Beach Road and Pattaya 2nd Road which leads directly to Sukhumvit Highway, making it extremely easy to access all areas of the city.

Travel in and Around Pattaya

Mini-buses or "Song Thaews" (utility vans fitted with bench seats and a roofed open back) are plentiful and continuously drive around the main areas of Pattaya in an anti-clockwise circuit. Also known as "Baht Buses" for their low fares (it costs just a few baht per ride), it is still wise to negotiate prices before boarding and fares beyond the bay are also negotiable. The Bell Captains at our hotels will be pleased to inform you about the current fare structure. Just put out a hand to hail one.

The Tour Counter at our hotels provide car rental services and international car rental companies also have offices in key locations in Pattaya. Road signs are in Thai and English and rental firms provide maps and suggested itineraries. Drivers must have an international or Thai driver's license and be over 21 by law.
